Thanks guys for advise and kind words. Unfortunately, I did not apply for AP assuming I will get it stamped as was the case in 2005 when I had no problems.
Any possibilty of applying for AP now?

As far as I know you must be in the US to apply for AP. But even if you could apply it probably won't serve your time interests since it takes at least 3 months to get it processed; and these days it would probably take up to 4-5 months. I applied for AP in November, I still haven't received it.

Did you fill any I-9 form or your hr filed it? the status of the applicant is decided by the I-9 Employment eligibility form.
Even otherwise i dont think it is a problem, they can change the form again to show your respective status ?
I signed a I-9 form in 2005. At that time, I indeed was on a marriage based EAD because I had an I-485 pending, which later I withdrew and went for H1B. Since then, nobody talked to me about changing the I-9 (I should have thought about it though). However, I provided them with a H1B copy when it was issued.
Since HR mentioned that my EAD expired and they needed a new one, it is clear that they were not refering to the old EAD (marriage based I-485), since that one expired in 2006. So somehow the lawyers, to whom I gave a copy of the EAD last year (they requested it), forwarded the EAD to HR.
Of course HR can change my status in their records now (by renewing the I-9?), but I am worried about the damage is done already and my H1B is invalidated. I don't know how I can find that out.

I was also tested possitive due to vaccination in India. did the skin test and X-ray. I talked to my family Dr.(and couple of my Dr. Freinds.) and they all told me that my body will allways react to this test due to vaccination and if X-ray is fine we do not need any medication. In US all the Dr. has to get the test once a year and those vaccinated in their native country has to get an X-ray to confirm it as the test is allways possitive for them.
I would say Consult another Dr. just to be sure.

yes, Even if you used your AP to travel back to US, you can come back and file an H1 extension.

This is a very genuine concern. I being the only son have worries on the same lines too. Although my parents are healthy and doing fine at this time but I get really get tensed to fathom what is there down the line in another 5 years or so. Bringing them here is not an option, medical insurance will not cover pre-existing condition neither is there any visa other than B2. Two options come to my mind:
1) I take up job which requires lot of travel, back-and-forth to India.
2) I move for good to India.
3) Look for a full-time nurse to be available to take care of them and I travel to India once in every 3 months, may be just for a week or so each time.
All three options put a dent in your life. But I guess the golden period of life is over, remaining period of life will go raising your kids, looking after your parents. Sometimes I like the American culture a lot; you get to enjoy all life long!

I e-filed for EAD recently and got my biometrics appointment within two weeks, and got the card about 5 weeks after applying. My wife went through the paper process a few months back, and the card took nearly 3 months to arrive. So from this unscientific test, I think that e-filing is much faster for EAD at least.

Effective June 2007, any agreement relating to recovering immigration fees from employees, or asking them to work for specific period after getting GC, are illegal. You can find details on the following link.

Our PD : Dec 22nd 2003, EB2 India. It was pre-adjudicated on Sept 18th 2008.
My petition was approved 4 months back, after calling 100 times USCIS.
In my wife's case we spoke with IO on Sept 4th.
Created Service Request on 5th Sept.
During September 2nd week spoke to IO, IO sent an email to IO who is looking at petition.
During September last week we got Service Request generic response "Wait 180 days" which I have seen 2 times in my case .
On Sept 29th sent 7001 form to Ombudsman. Ombudsman office might have received the application on or before 1st October.
October 2nd 2009 my wife's petition approved.
So if your case is genuine case problem. Don't waste your time calling Immigration officers. Send 7001 form to Ombudsman's office.

This is an option. I did one more trick. Made big part payment and asked them to reduce my EMI. Now I have EMI of Rs. 1200 for next 13 months. No penalty.

For 485, EAD and AP , Do we need get three quarter old fashion photo . I mean facing diagonal or facing straight to camera? I believe old one was looking diagonal to camera.

AC21 letter can be sent to USCIS, but as everyone says its not a must.

Is it a bad idea to ask for help from the indian government, there are ministers like "Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs - Vayalar Ravi" who is supposed to look into issues we are having here, even if contacting them doesn't help, it atleast will not hurt us. i think there are few good ministers in there who can understand our problems, they may not help us with $$ but may be able to help us with their lobbying groups.
i think "Ronen Sen - India's ambassador to USA" is another person who will be sympathetic to our cause.

We are also in the same boat. My wife and me finished FP on 10/2. Its already been 9days. No LUD on my case or my wife's case.
Do I need to worry or This is quite normal?

FYI: Reg. EAD, AP and H1 usages and Extension possibilities:
I entered as a Parolee last year using AP. I have EAD since 2005 - but, never used it due to continuous H1 apprival with Sponsoring employer.
My H1 expires in few months and my empoyer applied for extension; I just heard that it is approved this week (I did not get any papers yet). My employer uses H1 only (no EAD details provided since 2005). I am working on H1 (not on EAD) even thought I used AP in my last entry.
My wife entered using AP and we got her H4 approval as well for another 3 years (I may not need!). This is my fourth H1 (i.e. almost 9 yrs in H1 already).
It is my 4th EAD for my safety (backup) reasons and never used with this employer yet (and nor with another job yet). My attorney asked me not to try for H1 stamping now-a-days and just travel using AP and work on H1 as long as I am with this employer!
