There's a little sliding switch on the side of your memory card. I'll bet it's in the locked position. Flip it and try again, and you'll probably find it works perfectly.

I would like to at least see the option of playing movies on it (think video podcast)
But the real deal breaker for me was the lack of a physical pause button. I don't want to have to grab the nano, turn it on, aim for the pause button, before I can hear the outside world.
You can set the power button double-tap option to pause/play the current song with the latest firmware.
Alternatively, the remote add-ons work with the nano 6th gen.

Is this a sign of the market being over-saturated with independent and small firms that are eager for exit strategies?

I always liked the name Showtime. It was suggested when Apple announced movies on iTunes.
Showtime is the name of one of the US cable tv networks.

How does the printer connect to the network? If it's supposed to be connected via WiFi, you should probably look at the printer itself and configure it to join the new WiFi network.

I figure I should clarify something, because no one else mentioned it.
The 6800 GT and the X850 XT are the same price because the X850 XT is faster, but it can only drive one 30'' display, the 6800 GT can drive two 30'' displays.

So you can pull the stickers off, throw a "made for Windows XP" sticker on your iPhone case, and confuse the crap out of everyone.
Ha, ha - I know some people that did that and stuck them on Macs when they switched to Intel...
Shuts up the Windows Fans.

Hey everyone. I got the Mac Pro and it was messed up so I sent it back. I've decided to go with a 2.26 8-core Mac Pro from 2009. Anyway, it comes with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 512MB GDDR3 memory but I've heard it's pretty cheap. I was wondering what you guys recommend for a good video card around $200 or so. Thanks.

Yep, deinstall it and reinstall it! Then you can configure it again and you could download another one that is for dual cores.

Personally judging by Apples willingness to move forward, I suspect they'll wait until the technology becomes small enough instead of making the TiBook larger....
I used to have a company Pismo, and I really don't miss it all.... even though it was handy to have a built in Zip, or 2 batteries.......... I've found that my use of my technology has moved on........ The only real advantage the Pismo has over the TiBook is that it's doesn't look so knackered if you treat it badly....... and it's stronger...... but that's cos it's built like a Tonka truck...... and feels like it when you pick it up too...... :p
I can't wait to see what Apple has up the sleeve for it's next generation TiBook..... it's certainly due a design overhaul.... look at how many incarnations the PowerBook G3 had in its time.....

When you both view your connections locally (video setup) do they both appear normally? I have a feeling it may have something to do with the USB cam...

I have all my videos on an external hard drive. I have it setup so that all movies are in "Movies", my tv shows are in "Tv Shows" and so on. I find placing movies that i ripped in a folder is faster to find and watch, i do not think itunes handles +500GB worth of movies very well.

Is the Mac mini Apples forgotten step child? It seems that way. Apple hardly discusses the mini.
Even with a healthy speed bump, the Mac mini pales when compared to the low end iMac. But for $599 you get what you pay for.
The Mac mini is a paradox Mac. Its the lowest priced Mac by far. You can buy two Mac minis for the same price as the lowest priced iMac.
On the surface, that sounds like a great value. As it is with the iMac, each Mac mini comes with OS X Leopard, iLife 08, and a compact yet attractive form factor.
Thats the basic comparison. Inside, each Mac mini comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo that compares favorably with the basic iMacfor about $600 less.
Macworld does a nice comparison of the new Mac mini with the new iMac. The 2 ghz models compare favorably in every way except graphics, where the iMac wins hands down in games where frame rate is important.
Whats not to like? The new Mac mini is the same price as the old version, still comes with Airport Extreme built-in, runs about as fast as an iMac, and now has a full gigabyte of RAM.
Is that a value, or what? The kicker, of course, is that the iMac comes with a mouse and a keyboard and a built-in display, not to mention quadruple the hard drive size, and SuperDrive (vs. the base Mac mini with a slower CPU and combo CD/DVD drive).
If your needs are for a basic Mac and you already have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, then the Mac mini is a worthy valueits a Mac in and out.
Getting the Mac mini to become a low end iMac is no mean feat, and an expensive one.
The 2 ghz SuperDrive Mac mini starts at $799. $874 with the largest hard drive option from the Apple Store. Add another $98 for Apple Keyboard and Mighty Mouse.
That gets the mini to $972. An Apple 20-inch display is somewhat comparable to the iMac 20-inch display, but costs a whopping $599 by itself.
Thats a grand total for a tricked out, pimped up Mac mini at $1,571 vs. the iMac at $1,199. Thats almost $400 more and theres still slower graphics, no iSight camera, and a smaller hard drive.
So, wheres the Mac mini value now? That comparison starts to make the iMac look like Apples bargain of the 21st century.
But, different strokes for different folks. One mans hamburger is another mans steak. Or, something like that. The new Mac mini is a rugged machine that may not have all the bells and whistles of big brother iMac, but value is still there.
Back to Apples BYODKM policy. Bring your own display, keyboard, and mouse. IF you dont need the high resolution of the Apple Cinema Display, and the iMac is overkill, then the Mac mini becomes the bargain of the decade for Mac users.
The Mac mini makes a great server, too. Its cool, quiet, and faster than most of the older Mac PowerPC G5s, including the early Xserve models. Those were loud, hot, powerful beasts that cost about $3,000.
The Mac mini looks pretty good in a similar setting for a mere $599 (plus the cost of OS X Leopard Server).
For switchers from Windows, the Mac mini is an excellent way to get into the world of Macs without the expense of an iMacassuming the soon-to-be-former Windows user has a display, keyboard, and mouse that will work on the Mac mini.
Dollar for dollar, feature for feature, the iMac is actually a better value than a Mac mini, even at twice the price. But if your need for feature parity are less, then the Mac mini saves you plenty of money.
And its still a Mac.
There have been rumors that Steve Jobs hates the Mac mini. Maybe so. There have also been rumors that Apple will drop the mini. Who knows. One thing is for surethose of us who have added a Mac mini to our home, office, or mini-server farm, are very pleased with the value Apple provides in the mini.

Looking for some help.
I sent Chad payment for the iMac 9 days ago. He claims that he owns a UPS store. He claimed that he was super busy and that's why the item didn't ship.
Two days ago (7 days after payment) he sent me a tracking number. The UPS tracking site said it didn't exist. I emailed him demanding answers and he claimed he'd get back to me today. It's 11:30pm and still no word from him, and the UPS tracking site still says that the tracking number he supplied is invalid.
Has anyone had any dealings, good or bad, with Chad?
