I wonder what the IO performance of the reader is and what a 64GB drive might manage.
Something I'd like to see is a rackmount SDXC RAID array. Think how many sd slots would fit in a 1U array. I know, probably won't happen, but still interesting to see.

All right, let me rephrase that: government funds plenty of things, like libraries and parks, that aren't "necessary" but wanted. If you want to keep the argument on the federal level, substitute your own examples, including national parks. (Remember Bush trying to push them towards privatization?)
If you have a balanced budget, and you suddenly unbalance it with tax cuts, the difference between revenue loss and spending is pretty much a matter of semantics. You had the money, and now you don't. At least when you spend it on a service, you expect to get something for it.
Maybe one of the problems with House Republicans is that they don't think of tax cuts that they can't afford as spending.
I was wondering when the rich were screaming about parks. Never mind, it's not important.

Um, no it doesn't Fuji S1, S2, S3 RAW Files are not supported. This camera is used by more wedding photographers than any other.
That's a pretty big call. I don't know how accurate that is. Anybody agree, or have any data to support that?

Well, the only airline I remember which had seat-back displays for all passengers was WestJet. I just flew United and the smaller planes didn't even have an in-house audio system, let alone video.
But this is a great idea.

California's tax problems are easy to figure out. The electorate can vote for services separately from the taxes needed to fund them..... that's smart.

is the address book / calendar server working?

i enabled them in the server app,
but when i goto my address book and enter in the user name and password and ip address it doesn't work.

I don't think the Apple ads are elitist or snobish, however I do think the HP ads are very cool. By showing what the computer can do in a slick, sci-fiction way, the ads sell the HP computer in a way that the Mac vs. PC ads don't

For Joe Sixpack, the commercials remind him that Mac exist, they're cool and they do neat stuff. And that's the good part.
The bad part is some people think they're being insulted, and some of those people will matter when it's time to buy a computer.
Apple should've gone the HP way, show how cool the computer is and stop mentioning the PC at all.
However, during WWDC, take a shovel to Microsoft is so inclined, that's a time to stir the troops into a fury.

Friday is usually the miscellaneous sessions day, when the less important (or popular I might say) sessions are held. Of course you can leave whenever you want but Friday is still a full day. I would plan on staying the entire day if you can. Leaving Saturday morning is best as you can relax on Friday :)
Last year, in the original schedule, all sessions on Friday ended before lunch and lunch was the last item on the schedule. During the week, they added a couple of repeat sessions in the first slot after lunch. But, still, all sessions were over by 3PM.
I don't expect Apple to post the full schedule 'till a couple weeks before the conference. (I agree it would be nice if they posted it sooner.)

As a long term Garmin user I cringed when they tried doing the phone thing with Asus, this doesnt fill me with any confidence either.
As mentioned above, signal where I am in the UK is just too patchy to rely on, or indeed fast enough (even when signal is good).
When iPhones only had 4/8gb storage then it kind of makes sense but as later models are all 16gb+ whats the big deal?
I like to holiday in the US, often driving long distances. OTA maps would cost me a fortune in roaming fees, if indeed I got signal out in the sticks.
For me buying copilot outright (�25/$40) for the UK and (�10/$15) USA (Thanks Black friday sales!) made a lot more sense and a fixed budget. I get quarterly updates too so I'm never that out of date!
Before NDrive were given the boot I recall I got their USA/Canada maps for about $5 all in. Unless you really need all the available space for music/games/etc why would you want to risk it all on the chance of a good signal?

seriously just shut ur pretty faces with the tired backlit keyboard anthem. this is like the least desirable feature esp since it has a direct impact on battery life.
so simple really:
-more power
-longer battery life
-IPS display
-less weight
-runs cool
the new x220 does the mba better in three items above today for a fact. time for apple to step it up again.

I don't get the big deal. It only screams "rob me" if you have ****** friends and let everyone know where you live. If those apply to you, you've got far bigger problems than Facebook. Personally, i don't care what Facebook knows about me or shares with people.
